Dr. Nweke started Cowry Health as a way to meet a variety of patient needs while allowing him to focus on quality patient relationships, not on quantity of patients served. While he chose to be affiliated with Wellstar as a clinical partner, the practice is independently owned and operated, giving it the ability to remain committed to its own practice mission and values.
Cowry Medical Group is an Internal Medicine, Primary Care practice with Nephrology (kidney care) at its core. Dr. Nweke believes that taking care of the patient as a whole person and understanding how their lifestyle impacts their health and wellbeing.
Our Acworth clinic is convenient to Acworth, Kennesaw, Dallas, Woodstock, and Cartersville, and other areas in Cobb, Cherokee, Bartow, and Paulding counties. Our newly constructed office in Douglasville will serve, Douglasville, Villa Rica, and broaden our convenience to other Paulding, Douglas, and Cobb County areas. Not only does it serve patients in the clinic setting, the Practice also services patients in their home in the form of Concierge Medicine and Telehealth visits and serves a robust group of senior living communities throughout the Metro Atlanta area including, Acworth, Mableton, Kennesaw, Marietta, Powder Springs, Douglasville, Jonesboro, Woodstock, and Canton, where the patients are provided care and services right in the comfort of their community thus avoiding unnecessary trips to the office or emergency room.
Cowry Kidney Care provides Nephrology care and Home Dialysis management for patients living with chronic kidney disease. The newly constructed dialysis clinic in Douglasville will focus on teaching and support for its home dialysis program.
American Clinical Trials is an opportunity for Dr. Nweke to give back to his patients, and the medical community at large, by participating as Principal Investigator in clinical trials that could have a positive impact on the patients that he serves. American Clinical Trials has or is currently participating in clinical trials related to COVID-19, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease and Diabetes, Smoking and Chronic Vascular Disease.
